Dash Buttons Confusion
I'm looking to buy a used 992 at the moment.
I looking for a Sport Chrono car with Sports exhaust and have narrowed it to 2 which both claim to have these.
Though one has different buttons on the dash which has confused me!
Any ideas?

I believe those are the user configurable buttons. For the SC look at the steering wheel or the clock on the dash. Sports exhaust should have a button although not 100% sure.

This is correct, I have this button set-up in my early 2020 C2S with PSE. You can configure one of these configurable buttons for the exhaust. Not that you'd really need to press it often, as most of the time you just select the preferred driving mode from the steering wheel's driving mode selector (with Sport Chrono package), and you can customize the modes in such way that some of them have the PSE on and some of them not. Otherwise, you can tell that the car has Sport Exhaust by looking at the rear pipes. There should be two big oval pipes instead of the smaller quad pipes.

Both have PSE
I like the idea of two configurable buttons.

(At least starting from 13:45) the video actually doesn't take into account the situation the OP was inquiring about. As explained above, the earlier 2020 models had cars with PSE without a dedicated button for it. This scenario is not covered in the example configurations that the video showcases, although it shows other configurations the buttons may have.

My first diamond toggles the PCM on/off.
I have my second diamond button toggling PSE. (like the later cars)
Diamond on the wheel brings up the park assist screen.

The first two are programmable but there are only a few options you have. On the home screen you can to a point configurate it but only a few selections are available. A very very poor setup. Porsche seems to have the poorest electronics on any modern car. Other cars let you configure it about any way you want.

I think the toggle swtich for the exhaust is a total wasted space. You can already set the exhaust to go along with your drive mode so I see no point to have a separate option to exclusively toggle the exhaust on and off. They should have left more programmable buttons and, frankly they should have had a toggle switch that directly activates the garage door opener, not just pull up the homelink screen. Let us choose what each toggle switch does. For over a decade, BMW has provided like 9 programmable buttons that allows you to access deep into virtually every function. The second your finger hovers over the button, the display tells you what function you programmed so there's no need to hard label each button. This is basic tech that has been around for years.
