Did anyone ever figure out why the charge for carbon on the GTS interior is over $3k when its only a $800 option?

Does the gts package give you alcantara on the lower dash/glove box like on the gt3? I think that looks great on the gt3

I checked the base 992 and the Carbon trim price is $2100 regardless of interior package selected. And in the GTS, the info button didn't show any additional trim items that would explain a cost of $3700 vs $840.

So was going over order of my GTS with SA and SM yesterday and it seems they are charging for the carmine red stitching 3130 and 420 for carmine red sport chrono gauge, when you pick GTS interior option. Only looked at Carmine red GTS interior. But they list price increase in carbon Trim package. Very strange. So i optioned for Black leather and Black Rex Tex interior option for $4530.

This seems ridiculous. My SA has been waiting to hear from our regional rep for month(s) now. It seems like Porsche is reluctant to answer the questions as our rep has answered other questions. Doesn't anyone from Porsche (reps or anyone for that matter) hang out on the forum to address concerns like this? There are multiple GTS customers with open orders with the same question.

I hope to be wrong, but I doubt there will be any official answer to this. The upcharge for the CF also comes with Sport Chrono Stopwatch Dial in Chalk/CR, Seat Belts in Chalk/CR, Floor mats with "PORSCHE" logo and stitching in Chalk/CR - certainly not the delta if one could purchase them individually, but I've come to the conclusion in order to have one of the two GTS int packages, it'll be $8920 in the US.

This is why I ask, it doesn't make sense. If you l look at the other models nothing appears to be that high of an up charge except for the speciality leather.
