Default Park and Manual button lights

80% of the time the button do not light up when pressed. Seems kind of random as to when they work.
Had it in a year ago for oil service and was told "it's a software issue". It's in again a year later for the annual oil service (and to replace the cracked gear shift "razor") and I was told the same thing again.
Does anyone have any other information about this bothersome issue?

Check out this thread. I think that you’ll find it useful.
Apparently, there is a fault code and service guidance on this issue. It does, in fact, appear to be a hardware problem.

Have your dealer reference Porsche Bulletin:103-20. It covers this issue and how to repair it. My dealer did so.
A copy of my Repair Order is attached. I highlighted the pertinent information your dealer may want to know, I also deleted any of my personal information. Feel free to share this repair order with your dealership.
