Can someone explain the real life difference between Night Blue Metallic (992 color) and Moonlight Blue Metallic (Cayenne color). I also see posts that reference a "Midnight Blue Metallic". Was there a change from "Midnight Blue" to "Night Blue" since the former is also an official porsche color. They all look the same to me lol. I wanted to initially go for Gentian but felt it was too bright for my taste. Thanks.
It looks great... congrats. I believe I read that night blue was going away as an option beginning with December builds.
Yes - I heard starting in November it will no longer be an option. So I guess technically not "All" MY 2022's - but anyone that hasnt gotten an allocation date yet presumably wont have the option.
My 992 is Night Blue and my mother-in-law's Cayenne is Moonlight Blue. On the spectrum of light to dark, it goes Gentian -> Night Blue -> Moonlight. Gentian has faint hints of red which made it look purple-ish to me in bright light. Night blue has a very light hint of green and appears darker in lower light conditions than Gentian. Moonlight blue is very very dark blue, and looks practically black except in very bright light.
In a perfect world, I'd have a blue that looked like Gentian in low light conditions and Night Blue in bright light conditions.

Super helpful! There's a Cayenne in our building that is Moonlight and until I checked their VIN online (creeping on their spec) I always thought it was black (dim lighting in our building garage). Good to know NB is a shade lighter than Moonlight! And seconded, I'd love to have that type of blue!
My 2008 997 C4S Cab was Midnight Blue Metallic. I don't know if that is the same as the Night Blue Metallic that is going away this month.
Here are a couple pics. I was going to go with that color again, though I think the current Night Blue may actually be darker than my 08. I ended up choosing Gentian because I wanted something more vibrant.
