2021 C2 Battery Lithium or AGM?
Part number is Banner Battery 992.915.105.A I want to get the correct charger. I have looked every where to find out the type of battery this is without success. They are for sale in many places but the descriptions do not state the battery type. No helpful info on battery. This particular battery type has been in service as standard equipment in many Porsche models since around 2014. Any help will be very much appreciated! Thanks!

I don't know if you looking exactly for the Banner Model specifically, but a few thing to note are. The Banner Battery is the same battery as the Walmart Platinum Line of Batteries as well as the Autozone Branded Battery, and the Bosch Branded Battery. They are all the same models, and made by the company and simply rebranded. If you are looking to determine if yours if Lithium or Lead, it will say that on the Battery and the Lithium Version of the Battery has a Plug-In on the Battery Case itself.
In general the Banners came in the 70 or 80 Amp Hours Models which are the H6 and H7 Case Sizes. They also make and H8 size.. but most the 911s have the H6 or H7 size.... and your being a CS I would assume the H7 size. All these Cases are the exact same height and depth (front to back) measurement, and only vary in length (left to right if looking at the battery) . The H6 is the shortest and the H7 is the next longest at 1.5" longer, then the H8 is the longest at 1.5inches longer than the H7. H6 is 70Ah, H7 is 80Ah.
The Correct Charger would be the CTEK Lithium Version at 4.3 Amps, but other manufacturers such as Tecmate/Optimate make good Litihium chargers too. But you can tell you battery is lithium by the Plug that plugs directly into the battery itself on the newer Porsche Lithium Batteries. If it not a Lithium then the regular CTEK Charger will work. Keep in mind that the same Charger that is Branded as the Porches Charger is just a rebranded CTEK charger.
Hope this can help a little for your overall knowledge about how these Porsche Batteries are.

A 992 with Rear Axle Steering comes with Lithium. The models without RAS come with an AGM battery.

Confirm 3rdpedal as RAS is actuated electrically and AGM doesn't provide enough stable current, ergo all RAS equipped vehicles in US are LiFePO4 batteries.

If you are in Canada or other parts of the world it could be LiPo regardless of RAS.

Thanks for a quick reply. I am based in London so perhaps just need to wait until delivery and see which battery I have... 12v socket on 992 is i a very wrong position for me and i may have to charge the battery directly..

That's what I do. Connected an extension cable from the battery to a CTEK charger and store it inside the tire inflator recess when not in use. That way I know it's charging and won't stop half way through if I don't remember the steps to make sure the outlet doesn't power off.

Forgot to mention, the "extension cable" is an optional accessory from CTEK you can order. It's plug and play and gives you just that extra length to connect it properly from the battery with "eye" connectors and then out of the way when not needed.

Thanks... I read on the previous tread that when connecting a non-Porsche charger direct to the battery, connect to the battery terminal and the other lead to the terminal post in the car, DO NOT CONNECT BOTH CHARGER LEADS DIRECT TO THE BATTERY Is this correct?
