Default Any West Coast folks on the Grand Sapphire?

It seems like the vessel is in the Caribbean now and TYD is showing 8/6 delivery from my dealership (Porsche Livermore). Curious whether anyone else is on this ship? I feel like it could arrive on the West Coast a bit early, though not sure what typical delays are like at the Panama Canal.

Yes! I'm on the same boat as you.
It will get to Benicia on 7/30 after stops in Santa Marta, Colombia on Saturday the 17th, and then San Diego on the 28th.

Awesome! Looks like 8/6 is accurate then. Are you also waiting for an Aventurine Green car (per your avatar) like me?

Yes, Aventurine C2, and really looking forward to it.

The "8/6" date is there only because it is the next Friday and TYD always uses Fridays for estimated dates. If it gets into the port on time, it could get out on a truck to Livermore by Monday the 2nd and be delivered same-day.
My dealer is in Marin and it's a similar short distance from Benicia.

Speaking of which, I am only 10 minutes from the port in Benicia, so I plan on driving over to get a look at the ship getting loaded on that following Saturday the 31st. Just for fun.

I'm on the Grand Sapphire as well.
I'll probably get me car mid August as it will need to
travel further.
I think we are the last few to get MY21 cars.

Mine as well. Scheduled 8/6/21 all the way up in Seattle. Hope it holds and there are no problems at the port.

I'm on the same boat as well. I'm surprised you all have heard end of July or early August for dealer delivery. My dealer (in northern California) had an estimated arrival date of 8/20.

The dates (8/6, 8/20, etc) in TYD are just estimated Fridays. Not really relevant to when you’ll get the car. You need to look at when the boat will arrive at port and how long of a drive it is from the port to your dealer.

Thanks, thats great news. From your experience (and if all goes well) approximately how long from arriving at Benecia until the car can be picked up at the dealer? The dealer is <1hr from that port. I'm assuming the dealer needs a few days for PDI and other preparation prior to pickup? TIA.

I think there are too many variables.
The boat can have thousands of cars on it. Might yours be the first one off? Or the last one off?
How many transporter trucks are available at the port?
Does your dealer do PDI 2 days per week? 5 days per week?

Personally, I am estimating 5 days from when the boat docks until the time I get a call from the dealer. But that’s because I know my dealer moves quickly. My last Porsche was ready less than 24 hours from when they received it.

Yeah my dealer said pretty much the same thing, a week or maybe less.

Im on the Antares leader arriving in San Diego on 8/30. I was surprised to see 2 ships arriving so closely. I’m from the Bay Area but bought from riverside.

Here is the webcam link for the next set of locks - a better close up. Should be passing through in another hour or so.
