Given what you said about your weather and your dislike of the cab, I'd get a hardtop with a sunroof. I find with my sunroof open and the windows down, I have an experience that isn't hugely different from driving in a convertible. This might be a compromise that gets you much of what you want from a Targa. I think that Targas are heavy, overly complicated and overpriced. Regarding S vs. Base, absolutely get the Base if you really don't care that much about performance. If you do lean into the S, though, consider getting Rear Axle Steering. It is terrific for maneuvering through tight spaces, and I think it makes the car handle incredibly well on the open road.
Thank you very much. I was looking into the rear axle steering, but the seller talked me out of it, said it's not very useful if you are not a keen driver. I think it's a nice tech, I will definitely add it if I go into the S or GTS. He also recommended the various assistance systems, but I don't like those at all, especially lane keep assist. I would order it without the PCM screen if it would be an option

I always prioritize performance options over all those driver assistance nannies (which I generally avoid completely - waste of money IMO).
If Porsche would have an option to turn the screen away, like Bentley does, I bet a lot of people would pay 4-5000 for it. It would make the dash a lot cleaner and nicer.

Personally, I think Porsche's solution is one of the most elegant info screen integrations I've seen. Much better than the standard "stick an iPad on the dash" designs.

I have to agree. It's fashionable right now to do that. I had to "settle" for a 10 inch screen on my new Defender because it was integrated in the dash, rather than the bigger one stuck out. Terrible designs, starting with the new S Class.
Do you have any ideas about the Agave Green Club interior? I haven't seen any pictures.
With respect to color...I just took delivery of my aventurine green over slate/ Iceland green interior. Biased but I think they are perfect for each other!

This is actually my wife's preference. Can you share some pictures if possible? Did you add anything like carbon trim or Wood?
I'm not a big fan of the heritage interior. I've sat in one and I wasn't wowed.
Can you tell me what you didn't like about it? It has a huge minus for me, which is that the ventilated seats are not available.
Club leather is nice. My preference is for Truffle with a green exterior (which is what I went with).
This would also be my preference, but I already had 2 cars with similar color, and I was looking for a change of scenery😅

Funny, my wife and I spec'd my car together. It's at ppf now. Will post pics in a few weeks. Meanwhile...
can't tell from these but there's definitely a green hue in the IG leather. More later!
I was really wondering about the clear tail lights. I like both the regular (which work well with Aventurine) and the clear ones. Decisions,
decisions.
The interior you're showing is the Iceland Green or some Xclusiv Manufaktur with graphite blue? I would really like the Agave Green,
but I haven't seen any pictures online. I will ask my dealer, apparently he has a client who bought an Aventurine Green S with Agave and
Paldao, maybe he has some pics.

Mine is the Exclusive Manufactur Leather Interior in Slate over Iceland Green, fyi. No blue tint in person, but for some reason it seems to reflect some in the pics.

I have to say it's beautiful. Getting sold on the Iceland Green over Black. I also like the 930 pack, it's very nice. What do you of the optional leather seat backs? Looks a lot better than the plastic. Also, I see
you have the Sports Exhaust. Is it worth the money over the regular? It might subtract from the resale value if it's not added though.
@gabrielbogdan Can't tell you if the exhaust is worth it. Is anything on these cars "worth it?" The only thing I did wrong (given my goals) was not realizing that the quilted inserts in each of the doors ARE NOT part of either deviated stitching package I spec'd. That apparently requires a CXX option.
I stopped by the detail shop today and got a few more pics of the interior...
