Unbelievable. THIS is the 992 to get. Check out the video, the sound is ALMOST as good as the 991.1, perhaps even better at times if one tapers the nostalgia.
138K? That's a steal. Most S-models will encroach this, AND you get 30 more HP and torque, better brakes, and a bespoke suspension derived from the Turbo, yet unique to the GTS.

If I don’t need to add anymore options at $138k then this would be great. If I still need to add $5k for a premium package then no thanks. My ideal spec c2s is $132k.

I'll need to wait for the configurator to be up and running for the GTS before I come to any conclusions. From the announcement, it really does sound an awful lot like a C2 Option Package that is a combination of C2 Option Packages with a slight boost in maximum Boost Pressure. Let me drop the Alcantra Steering Wheel and give me back the 18 Way seats with a Leather interior and "maybe" I could become interested. It sort of seems like the "S" in GTS stands for a "Saturday and Sunday" only car. Not a DD.

Then you'll likely be sad....$138k out the door without ANY options on a GTS is probably a rarity. Most already are seeing theirs run above $145-150k mark once they've added their desired options that Porsche left out on the forums from what I read. Add in the ADM you're gonna get hit with next from probably almost 2/3rds of US dealers and some are reporting offers for pending allocations (no idea when they will be...likely late Fall/Winter given current production) but ADMs are pushing price north of $160-170k by some reports. That's just bananas!
Yep..I think most are gonna end up with a $150k car once they finish playing with the config OPTION wise...some like centerlock...some don't...some like GTS interiors...some don't and if they add a lightweight and/or power package or CF buckets then it will easily push probably $10-20k on top of the MSRP. Yeah its gonna get interesting....

Kinda stinks you have to get the center lock wheels in black, would prefer if they had a silver option for those. Does anyone know how much more the carrera S wheels weigh vs the center lock turbo wheels?
Thanks

Posted in another thread but seems fitting for the discussion at hand. I just did a comparison on my C2S build. If I spec it exactly the same, my sticker would go from $152k to $162k. However, I received $9k off MSRP & a GTS in this market will most certainly have ADM. Especially here in California.
So I’d be looking at $170k+ for a GTS when my OTD price before tax was $143k on my S. I wouldn’t want centerlocks (prefer silver too) or the clear taillights (prefer red). I’d try to get rid of all the alcantara in the GTS except the roof liner. The GTS still uses the same PCCB’s as the S (Surpirsed the GTS didn’t get the 10-piston ceramics). So I wouldn’t gain much & I would be near a $30k delta.
Would not be interested in the ‘lightweight package’. Rear seat delete & buckets. May as well pay an ADM for a GT3 at these prices.
In general I’m glad I’m not in the market.
