- I take an antique vehicle to a local restaurant for dinner - YES, an occasional pleasure trip covered under your policy.
- I drive to a local grocery store for a loaf of bread - NO, you cannot use your collectors car to run errands.
- Living in Los Angeles, I take a trip up the coast to San Francisco, staying in motels/hotels along the way - MAYBE, you can't use the collectors car in place of the family car.

I obtained a quote for a new 2021 992 with an agreed value of $170k and BI/PD coverage of $500k from Grundy Worldwide for only $1.6k/year.
Is there any catch to the deal? It sounds too good to be true.
It has the following clause:
USE:
1. My vehicle(s) will be used on a limited basis consistent with the operation of a collectible vehicle such as occasional pleasure drives and club/hobby activities.
2. My vehicles(s) will not be used frequently for regular driving such as driving to and from work or school, shopping, errands, general transportation, or back-up use.
How would they determine the above? "will not be used frequently" and "occasional" are pretty subjective. I selected >10,000 miles for the annual mileage.

Idea is car events and Sunday drives
I have 9 cars in the fleet. 6 are collector cars. I pay DD premiums on the other 3.
Be smart.

You can also try insurance through NCM, the national corvette museum. They insure other sports cars, their terms seems a little less restrictive than the wording here.
