There’s a reason they completely redesigned the PCM for 22. Carl
Let's hope! Other than Home-Link, the features on my 2021 C2S's PCM are actually very nice. The challenge is that some of them don't play well with each other.

I’d agree with this. Some parts of the wireless CarPlay integration work well too, like when you get a message while in another part of the system. Say you’re in media and displaying the track/source being played and a text message comes in. The PCM happily switches to CarPlay so you can hear the message, lets you reply etc. as you wish, and then switches back to media when done. I guess it does that over a wired connection and even Bluetooth but it works really nicely on the wireless CarPlay.
After 11 months my biggest gripe with the PCM is actually the lack of something to scroll and select items without having to touch the screen. What would be really nice is being able to use steering wheel buttons to do that, say extending the right hand ‘select’ button (the one to switch between dial 2 and 4 on the instrument panel) to also allow you to switch to the PCM and then use the scroll button on that side to scroll and select in the PCM. Not a perfect solution but I’d have thought doable with current hardware and design, albeit needing some decent PCM changes.
**update** so I decided to do a factory reset on my phone to rule out my phone as the culprit for the CarPlay issues and to my surprise, it fixed the volume issues I was having!! Just tried it and works flawlessly. Hoping the back up camera issue was somehow tied to my phone as well considering the CarPlay glitch was causing volume issues on my PCM. Will update you guys after driving for a couple weeks! Thanks for everyone’s advice/help
I have not had a car with CarPlay but have used my iphone w/ bluetooth in my current car and it has worked totally fine without issues. Does anybody use the regular bluetooth connection w/ their iPhone? Does that provide a more reliable and consistent experience? This would be with iphone mounted next to shifter displaying Apple Music, Waze, google maps, youtube music and connected wirelessly via bluetooth.
I guess I should ask for those of you who have Android, how is the Bluetooth connection to your Android phone in a 992? Does it work well?
The connection on Android via BT flawless, great music playback using Spotify, crystal clear phone calls, the call quality for the other party is excellent even with the top down. The PCM issues are still there. It needs to connect to Porsche servers to get favorite destinations, which is stupid. HomeLink is great when the GPS pops it up, but when it doesn't you need to press several buttons to send a signal. I hope a software update will bring more reliability. I am totally OK with screen architecture, just want the stuff to work all the time.
