Changing build before freeze date vs. potential delay
Sorry if this has been asked before but I can't seem to find it via Search.
My question is whether changing my build between now (have a v200) and the "freeze date" would increase the chance of delay in production or even "denial" of options. I currently have the Aerokit in my build (a MY2022 scheduled for September build). The SA seems to suggest that any changes to the build could potentially lead to the V200 being pushed to "back of the line" and worst case scenario, the Aerokit could be kicked back as an unavailable option because there's limited supply (i.e. being pushed to the back of the line means that supply may run out before original build date).
I'm wondering if this is actually how it works, or just a "belief".

I was told this by my SA also. Not sure if it's a 100% always the case, but I also spec'd the Aerokit early on and he shared the same concerns of your SA.
I made a change before my freeze date and my production and freeze date both got pushed back several weeks. However, I don't know if the change had anything to do with it or not. But, like rk-d said, why live with something you don't want ?

Thanks - that's what I'm worried about (assuming there's correlation). Points taken around getting something I don't want but this is a bit nuanced. Case in point, I have the GT steering wheel optioned (but not the heated version). I think I may want the heated version but it doesn't really matter all that much. And, if it could delay my build, then I definitely don't want to add it. First world problem I know! Appreciate all the feedback.
Bumping an old thread to add a data point: changed my aerokit build which was scheduled to start production in early Jan and deliver in early March. Lost the Aerokit. “No longer available, no ETA”. Now TYD has updated and I see that it’s been rescheduled to start production in early March for delivery in early May. Who knows, maybe one of the options I changed required a shift in production dates for some supply chain reason.
I’d rather have my new build since aerokit can eventually be retrofitted, but I have to wonder where it disappears to
Potentially worth noting that I also changed from black aerokit to the base color.
