Confirm it states 0w-40 C40??????? And this is from buyoil.com?

I just searched the site and didn't find any C40 0w-40 ESP X3 oil. There is a 5w-40 but it's a C20 spec

Thanks for pointing us in the right direction.

I can confirm the Autozone item (part#124798) is the correct oil. Purchased today. Local inventory was limited, most stores didn't have any. Also, when they went to scan the item, the barcode wasn't in the system, so they had to manually enter the product #.

Yep clearly states "Approval: C40".

Thanks, I can now drive my 992 below -25F as soon as I finish my stock of Liqui Moly 5w-40 C40...

Went to my local AutoZone today: lo and behold, 6 quarts of X3 C40 oil on the shelf with other Mobil1 ESP oils. But they couldn't find it in their system, even with the Autozone number from TN-3. Two managers tried different approaches; even called someone in admin. Nice about it but couldn't sell me the oil!

But, they took my order for some that is supposed to arrive tomorrow!!! I'm not holding my breath that it will be the right stuff, but we will see.

Stay tuned

Unless you live in extreme cold climates, you do NOT need 0w. You can buy either Motul or Liqui Moly 5w-40 C40 compliant. Both brands have a long racing tradition with Porsche and are fully C40 compliant. And of course you do NOT buy anything from a dealer unless money is not an issue - like for my Siberians' welfare
