I agree. We were only giving friendly advice. I don't think the OP took it any other way. It's not like we were saying he was "wack" for choosing a certain option. I know I've gotten lots of useful info (and info on my allocation) from here.

If I read this correctly, you’re going back-and-forth on the 18-way versus the 4-way Sport Seats Plus. Unless you absolutely need the memory seats or think the adjustable bolsters will make a big difference, I would suggest saving the money and getting the 4-ways. I did that and I’m very pleased. They hold me quite well, plus I think they save somewhere around 40 pounds :-)

As a matter of fact, I bailed on the S due to issues with allocations. My local dealer has a Base Coupe allocation that I grabbed this afternoon. This is the spec: PNPVGW75

Had I not gone for manual I would have opted for the base Carrera. I did ultimately opt for PASM Sport which is not available on the base, but the $$ savings and some other factors made the base very attractive except for the whole PDK only thing.

Nice spec!

Wife has to be able to drive it when we go to the coast, so PDK it is. I have two other cars with manuals.

Jaye Base
How did you spec the sport package without the 10mm lowering?

This is how I did it. Select the Sport Package, then deselect it. You will then get this screen. Click all the options except the 10mm lower option.

Same reason I went the C2S. If manual had been available on the base, I would have done so and saved a little money.

Correct me if I’m misinformed, but SPASM (PASM Sport Suspension) adds a little more than just lowering 10mm.

Over the regular PASM, I believe it adds:
- ride height lowered 10mm
- stiffer anti-roll bars (front and rear)
- extended front spoiler lip
- increased maximum rear spoiler height

It also reduces the approach and departure angles, which I suppose is a bi-product of being 10mm lower, and the extended front spoiler lip.

PASM also has “normal” and “sport” modes, but I’m not sure if SPASM changes any aspects of those modes.

My third 911 (997.1, 964) but my first new one. I'm stoked.
Sounds like a very nice build. Some debate on this thread whether you were seeking feedback or not. I'll only offer up that my wife and I find the front axle lift to be a great additional, really glad we added it to our build. Not suggesting you change anything, it's your build and I'm confident you will be blown away by how much improved the 992 is over the 997.1. We sold our 997.1 to a friend and used the proceeds for the new 992. No regrets at all, the new 992 is light years better than our 997 IMHO.

Cheers and congrats!

Does your friend need another 997.1 ?
