ARGH! German Cup Holders!
I have never used a cup holder in a car. I like that the 992 you can remove the silly one that goes into the center console and not have any visible cup holders. Although I prefer not having any in the car at all (like my 993 or F355).
While many of us prefer no food nor drink in the car….sometimes our passenger (ummm, our wives 👰♀️) have other ideas.
And as the old saying goes, “Happy wife, happy life” 👍

Pretty entertaining thread about the importance of cup holder
sure use mine, may it be for water or Gatorade after the gym or the occasional coffee on way to work. Why not, its a car to be used and not a museum. Now, I never drink the fast food, big gulp drinks - they sure would not fit and that's a good thing.

The 991 cupholders were the worst. The Driver's side one was directly over the console buttons for your A/C and Heater. Have a drink in there without a lid, a good bump, and the liquid saturated the controls on the subsequent spill. If a sofa or energy drink, your switches will be gummed up once dry.
992 cupholder with a manual transmission is hilarious. Anything over an 8 oz cup interferes with your shifting.

Here's another option -- soon to be released. I ordered one today and will report back....

I am addicted to drinking water and therefore always have my water bottle with me, so I need a good place for it in my manual transmission 992. I'd rather not clutter up the interior, but sometimes I guess you have to choose function over form....

This conversation always cracks me up, any company should always take into account what their different markets priorities are.
Same thing happened to me. It's the most minor of all the nits.
Open the glove box, push it back out to the usable position, or open the glove box and push it back to flush. Done.
Now drive!
