Default 14 vs 18 way seats...any regrets ?

I opted for the 14 way seats. Now I regret I didn't get the 18 way when I'm moving around in the seat more than I like with spirited driving .
Any one else has this feeling ?

These guys seems to be doing OK with the 14 ways, nice video I think, doesn't help your situation though.

7min 37 seconds he is driving turbo with 14way seats on the track.

Another guy doing donuts at 7:15 in 14ways, seems staying put?

Get a CG Lock Clip, that will go a long ways towards controlling your moving around in the seat. The company is no longer in business, however some retailers still have inventory.

I'm thrilled with the 18 ways. My own single day record is 17 hours in them. The ability to adjust the bolsters independently is a very nice feature -- you can make them fit your body and hold you in place. To be clear, it's nowhere near a racing bucket, but very nice for a street car seat.

For me, personally, it is also helpful that my wife gives them high marks -- very comfy.

Now, I do understand that the 18 ways are not a great choice for drivers of "significant carriage" -- the 4 ways seem to be the best bet for those drivers.

I believe the more correct term is "Men of Prosperity" !

Call it what you want: I am 5' 7" and 223 and the 4 ways are way loose for me- gotta pull in the 18' maybe 30%.

I'm 6"1", lean and chiseled from years in a Soviet Gulag and the 14 ways hold me the way I'd hold Natalie Glebova if she was in the room.

its personal preference. 18-way hugs your body more and also is less forgiving to larger people.

14-way are more loose and fit more body sizes.

its like the difference between a tailored suit vs. a hoodie. both are comfortable but have different use cases

We have the 18-Way Seats and like them very much. They're not "Track" seats, but for the street, they're very nice. We tried each version before we ordered the car. My wife said she required the 18-Way Seats. Who was I to argue?

I have the 18 ways, 5'!0 and 190... Best seats of any car I have owned. Better than my RR, better than Mercs, etc. They are awesome. However they do weight a lot, so if looking for light weight, they are not your option. My 992 is my DD, so I wanted more comfort and adjustability. These seats are terrific...

My 2 biggest regrets are not getting 18 ways (I have 14) and not getting the extended range fuel tank. My wife got 18 ways in her Macan GTS she picked up last week and I am jealous.

But when I drive my 911 I forget about it pretty quickly because I still love it, despite the lack of 4 extra ways of seat adjustment.

I feel stupid for not sitting in the different seats before I ordered. I think I was just trying to shave a few dollars and in hindsight it was a mistake.

I had two regrets on my first 992. 14-ways & standard steering wheel. Two options you feel 💯 of the time - and don’t realize how important they are until it’s too late.

I now have 18-ways & GT steering wheel.

What about the 4-way sports seats plus as a solution for a build where I'm the only driver?

My advice - go sit in all the seats, then decide. Drive an hour to another dealership if you need to. It’s a big choice and you want to know you made the right one. Don’t make the mistake I did.

I’ve been to PEC LA 3 times and every 911 I drove there had 18 ways, for what it’s worth.
