From the perspective of an "American" not living in the U.S., the red, white and blue and the eagle are more aligned to a specific North American country than Porsche. I expect the logo was designed in a time when it was thought that members would be exclusively from the States. My "America" includes Canada, Mexico and Central America.
I understand your point, but technically PCA only serves the USA and Canada. I suppose Canada is not terribly well represented in the logo.
Ironically, I've put more miles on my air cooled car than the 992 this past year,
Excellent! Good to see the air cooled out in the wild.
A guy in our high rise has one from around 1980. He has had some nice performance work done with a strong exhaust that he makes no effort to conceal. Love hearing it go up the street.
How tricky is it working the studs through the vents? For extra credit, how many of you dropped at least one nut into the engine bay?
My 2 decals (one for PCA and the other for our 50th Anniversary of the AK Porsche Chapter) are top right and left of windshield. For reference we got a dispensation from the PCA and don't have a horse but a moose on our symbol.
