The absolute number for each color should have been normalized by the number of years that color has been offered.
Ultimately, certain colors, such as GT Silver, have staying power and have been around for decades....It stands to reason that colors that have been around for a long time, have been around a long time because they are popular with buyers. Colors that don’t sell well, I suspect, eventually get dropped.

That "story" provides zero insight into the most popular Porsche colors over the years, rather it simply reports what colors the 3000 "survey" participants liked.
No doubt it’s a beautiful color, but It’s too ‘normal’ blue for me. It was up against Mexico blue & Oak Green metallic. I’d say ‘best’ color should be more unique.
