Door Handle Extension
This is actually a bit confusing. For unlocking, it says "With Comfort Access...reach under the handle, don't touch the proximity sensor", and then followed by "With proximity sensor, approach the car". So which is it? If Comfort Access says not to touch the proximity sensor, doesn't that imply everyone has the proximity sensor?

2) If you have comfort acess, you can program it to:
- Either have handle pop out by just touching the recess in the handle (door unlocks)
- Or have handle pop out when you are approaching, and you do not touch the handle (door unlocks)
1) If you do not have comfort access, you unlock the door with the key, using the buttons. The handle pops out and you pull it to open the door.

Yea, I guess my point was...they reuse the name "proximity" sensor without clarifying. The "thing" you touch on the handle to lock is called the "proximity sensor". Mine has this...it has Comfort Access which means touching underneath to open, touching on top to lock...but it's MY20 and unlocking via proximity definitely does not work. Setting aside that you actually have to touch the "proximity sensor" to lock...is that the same sensor for unlocking in later models? Ultimately wondering if this was a hardware or software change.

The fact that porsche has to release a 4 page document explaining how to open the door tells you all you need to know about this "feature". Absolutely no reason to over engineer something that had been working perfectly for decades.
Door handle, home link proximity, trunk opening by hand wave... all works about 60% of the time...
So, I try it every time... then use the key button...
Now, it's kinda habit, not annoying at all....
I am sure Porsche programmed it such way on purpose to tame us....

From the manual:
Place your hand between the Porsche Crest and the number plate. Either move your hand in a forward and backward movement or make a swiping action.
