Beautiful! Thx to your pics seen elsewhere, I went with this exact interior/ exterior theme. Sadly, my build locked before I finally “grew a pair” so my request to change to PCCB’s was denied.
How are you finding the slate in the sun with the top down? I was planning on ordering the slate upper with chalk lower and seats on my Targa as I thought it would be better with helping to keep the cabin cooler.
It feels just fine (incl to the passengers). The AC is very good in keeping the cabin cool or warm. While I did like the slate/chalk - I was concerned with keeping it consistently clean (color transfer etc).
I went with Mojave Beige/Black for my order (which hasn't arrived yet), which I didn't realize was such an unpopular combo on these forums at the time I placed my order. I must admit that I really really like the GB with slate/grey a *lot*, and if I was placing my order today, that's probably what I'd go with. I think the GB looks so nice with a lighter interior. (Nothing wrong w/ all black either, for those of you that have that.)
On my GB build I tossed a lot of ideas around for the interior. My last 2 Cabs had 2 tone leather and it is wonderful. This time I went with black leather including graphite blue seat inserts. I debated deviated stitching over and over. I ended up "thinking" it might be too visually busy combined with the seat inserts.
On reflection... with 20-20 hind site, stitching would have worked just fine.
I'd go with Slate. As for the silver trim and Classics, that's a perfect combo. Maybe I'm old school, but I'm not a fan of the blacking everything out trend.
