PPF or not

I believe it’s really about how you want your car to age. I don’t feel just because I PPF I am treating my car like a Faberge Egg enclosed in a glass case.
I drive my car daily, detail it my self weekly or every other week but I drive it I don’t coddle it. Therefore it’s likely to look better longer if I protect it.
But it’s really up to each owner. Properly applied PPF with wrapped edges and then Ceramic coated looks better longer and most won’t even know it’s covered.

I've had PPF before and I can't say I'm a huge fan since it did get beat up a bit BUT it did protect and allowed me to get top dollar on my M3 trade.
For my C2S cab I did it just because it makes me feel better when I drive it since I spent about $150K on this hunk of metal!
So simple peace of mind decision for me!

This one is no garage queen but driving daily over the GW bridge and the cross Bronx makes PPF a must. Yes, I hate the visiable cut lines, yes I know it take some of the color depth away and yet without it it would look like a 10 years old car after one year of service... Went with the basic front end plus rockers package and its all the protection it needs for daily commute duties and track days.

After getting caught in a sandstorm I can tell you that if I didn't have PPF, my paint would have been trashed. Windshield has to be replaced as well as the headlights and side markers. PPF is also being replaced.

Hello All, first post here and not even an owner yet. I was in the window tint and PPF business for many years. Won't drill down into all that but I know of many bad experiences and many many fantastic experiences. Simplified, right at delivery get the latest XPel film installed at the most reputable installer you can find. ASK local Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren dealer who they send all their cars to. Get Hood, Fender, Bumper, A-pillar, mirror and you'll be good to go. Should be about $1700-2k depending where you live. 10 year warranty and XPel will pay installer for their labor should you need something fixed.

Was quoted $2500 for PPF and $3000 for ceramic by the dealer. Plan on driving the car about 3-4k miles annually. I'm opting for the waxing myself and the Dr. ColorChip quick fix. I think paying nearly $6k for paint protection is insane..... more insane than spending $250k on a car.
