Hi, if you have attempted or have succeeded in lowering your 992 I would love to hear your experience. Please specify if u have rear axle steering.
best

I have KW HAS springs on the way from Germany and I have RAS...I'll report back after install. I've read the posts about CEL issues as well so hoping for the best!
^ What did you lower on GMG? The drop looks moderate so I assume you used a HAS system like KW or Techart?

We used Techart springs for this car, however we are developing our springs now. Should have something soon!
Following this closely.. A bit concerned about lowering my c2s on springs or a HAS kit. But I do like the techart & KW products. Can anyone comment on ride quality? And how this will affect the shocks?

We lowered our 992 Turbo S (with RAS) Development car and it rides great! You do need a shop that knows what they’re doing though.
Can you offer a little more insight? I wouldn’t take my car to any shop that doesn’t know what they are doing, but this sounds ominous. Is there something you’re aware of with regards to lowering springs?

This looks phenomenal and exactly the sort of drop I'm looking for.. I know you guys are developing your own springs, is there something you don't exactly love about the techart springs?
Also with all the springs available in the market (H&R, techart, BBi, KW) has anyone released the spring rates? I am currently on SPASM and I love the way the car rides & handles.

there have been a slew of chassis malfunction messages from 992s that have been lowered..

There is a specific process when lowering the cars that needs to be followed and not all shops will be able to do it properly. This car was also lowered and so far zero issues!

I know, it was a loaded question. My point is the responses are vague and don’t offer much in the way of how to actually do it correctly.
I lucked out and the shop I took it to decided not to move forward because they weren’t comfortable with the job. To be honest, I think it was more regarding the complexity of the rears - there was no mention of potential code issues.
So if I wanted to tackle it myself, or trust that a shop can do it - what is the specific area of concern/caution that should be noted? Of course a shop will say “yea, we can install it” - what would be the question to ask to ensure they actually DO know what they are doing?

They are on day 2 of my install and its not ready. They have the shop foreman doing the installation so there must be some complexity involved. Ill have it back on Monday and will post pics and feedback.

You are installing the TechArt HAS not the fixed drop Techart springs correct?
2 days sounds like they are being super cautious...good for them. From reading older threads about issues when lowering the 922 - the trick to do it right seems to have something to do with re-programming the ride height sensors in PIWIS3. Its not just a straight spring swap and your done type install.
