Default Hard time closing door

I have a brand new 992 Cabriolet. In order to shut the passenger door I really have to use a lot of force, much more than on the drivers door. It annoyed me enough that I took the car to a dealer today and asked a service advisor to look at it. He said it is not adjustable, and it is just a matter of the rubber seals being "tight" and that it is not abnormal. Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes - same with mine - TTS Cab - passenger door - I was waiting for first service visit to mention it but if it isn’t adjustable I’ll forget it and focus on the Spoiler Error code (that, happily for me, cleared itself)

The rubber seal idea "sounds logical" but remains to be seen - I do remember the drivers door acting similarly...it has gotten much better to non-existent - with the passenger door, my wife has started getting used using more force and the issue seems to be diminishing - since it’s improving, the seal idea is probably correct — time will tell

I'm having the same issue on my 992 Cab. I've had it about a month now and I think it's getting better. Having said that, sometimes closing the passenger door interferes with closing the small back windows when putting the top up. The small window will stop midway and then go back down. If I open the door, the small windows goes up with no problem. It appears that closing the passenger door applies pressure on the small window and won't let it close all the way.

Anyone else seeing that?

It hasn't been warm enough since I got the car to put the top down, by I will test that out. Meanwhile, my solution will be to not let my wife ride in the car with me.

Yes, they require some force to close. Seals are tight!

Seals on the 992 are very tight and that is a good thing...when I picked up my car the dealership had just had an invasion of small ants in their storage warehouse and it seems quite a number of them had found their way onto my 992. I kept seeing ants for about a week crawling on the exterior...but NEVER inside after I got it home (believe me I looked hard as well as put an ant trap in the front boot and one on the passenger floor). Eventually after about 10 days no more ants on the outside of the car but I do in part believe that they never made it into the interior due to these tight door seals. They both require some force and still do on my car now 1200 miles out. This amount of force however to close is normal.

Spend less time on rennlist, and more in the gym.

Are the doors tough to close with the windows open? If not, there’s your answer.

Same on the doors. No issues with the windows. @sexfiend , you're an ***, but you made me laugh. :-)

It's a Porsche, not some fragile Italian thing. Close them with proper force.

Yep, it’s a thing. Drivers door on my coupe is harder to close than passenger door. I was used to framed window doors before, so 911s just need a little more force. Close with the hand on the door, don’t let it swing shut, done!

The first day I had the car, I don’t think my wife or I closed our doors properly on the first try once. But we learned quickly to just close them with more force.
