I am big Tag Heuer fan and received an email today about a upcoming new announcement on Feb 4th. The silhouette in the email looks like a 992. Looking forward to seeing if there is a connection next month and possibly a new watch coming out.
Interesting bc that does appear to be a current 911 silhouette. I also wouldn't connect the Porsche brand with a brand like Tag - not disparaging Tag but that was the watch I had after graduating college, alongside a VW GTI. I've always been more of an Omega guy for everyday watches, seems to be more aligned to Porsche 911 high performance yet discrete type of feel.

TAG has been a major sponsor of Porsche for a long time now; especially in Porsche Motorsport. Including FE, IMSA, WEC, etc. I would have to agree though. I don’t technically correlate the Porsche brand with Tag Heuer like I would with; say - Omega/Patek/Rolex.
Although TAG x Porsche has become pretty synonymous in Motorsport.
I'm no watch collector but this is very nice IMHO. I'm on board with other guys who find those Rolex Presidents with the tacky diamonds around the face to be gross and tasteless.

I think that you would find that the vast majority of Rolex owners, including day-date owners, would agree with you.
I'm a little baffled by this. I love watches, and have two Tag's myself, a LINK Calibre 16 Chrono, and an Aquaracer Automatic Chrono Calibre 45, but Porsche also has their own in-house watches, including Porsche Design, and the new Design Your Own Porsche Watches with Configurator based off the Chronotimer Series 1 (IIRC). Porsche has also previously collaborated with IWC Scaffhausen. Definitely always thought it was a good idea to combine the Tag Carrera line with a Porsche model though, but seems strange they would cannibalize their own line with a competing watch series from Tag. Whatever, more choice is a good thing for consumers and watch aficionados.

Nice to see Tag went with a manufacture movement for this. Wish they had some options for dial color, not a huge fan of the metallic grey. This would look really good in Gentian Blue or Black.
For racing/driving oriented watches I much prefer Chopard's MM line. They are beautiful pieces. Especially the GTS flavors. If I was going for something very specific to the 911 I really like the PD custom pieces (although expensive).
