  • Porsche will introduce a new headlight design that will make the older cars look dated -- guaranteed, because they always do this. :P
  • Front fascia and rear bumper design changes, possibly inspired by the 992 TT/TTS design tweaks -- guaranteed like above
  • Particulate filters will be a strong possibility for all markets as Porsche has indicated so much
  • Hybrid revealed as the promised new 911 category/model and priced above the TT/TTS. Carreras won't see a real hybrid drivetrain until after the 992.2
  • Manual will finally trickle down to the Base engine in limited markets, like the US, not available elsewhere due to emissions/fuel economy regulations.
  • Some previously exclusive S options will trickle down to the Base Carrera to effectively be a T package for the base car to boost sales.
  • Heads up display with a Porsche twist, because everyone is doing this now
  • Apple's CarKey support for truly keyless entry -- Apple is being aggressive with this
I predict the twist will be some of the heads up information will be blocked by a projected steering wheel, the way the actual gauges are. Maybe we'll be able to choose between being blocked by regular or sport projected steering wheels. Being blocked by sport will cost extra.

I really hope they will redesign the 40% of the gauges that are blocked by the steering wheel. I just couldn’t get over that on my 992 test drive. If you’re even the least bit OCD, it will drive you nuts.

When you have electric motor(s) helping with low end torque, and fuel economy, you don’t need the turbos anymore. Removing the turbos also reduces weight and space, and there’s obviously the massive marketing benefit of having a NA 911.
My guess is 992.2 GTS will have this, and 992.2 Turbo (with the turbos, of course).

I think I prefer a non-electric 911 as it’s simpler and “purer”; but all the performance stats will be better with the hybrid drive, of course...
There will be a top ended electrified 911 that will be the fastest 992 - Porsche has already alluded to this. Likely will be the GT2 RS, using Turbo S engine plus hybrid system. The Carrera/S will likely get a 48V mild hybrid system like BMW/Audi/MB are using across the lineup, the main goal with these systems is to improve fuel economy and maybe a small boost from a stop.

We're only in the second MY of the .1 version, I'd be surprised if we were seeing test mules for .2 right now for a car that won't hit until 2024/25.

Front motors will actually help the balance of the 911.

I think we're at least a year away from actual facts or information on the 992.2 and looking at MY24 at the earliest...
