Default Program steering wheel button for home link?

Apologies if this had been covered. In a my2020 c2s is it possible to assign home link to the programmable button on the wheel?

I was unable to do so on my 2020 C2S - the homelink option was not presented to me when programming. I don't have a joker button on the dash given options so I can't confirm if they can be used either.

I think so. I programmed my Dash Button for that and my Steering Wheel Button for Navigation. There is a list of what’s available for each button when you set them. The lists are almost, but not quite identical.

Mine too. Although I ended up going old school and clipping a remote to my visor. It's a shame Porsche dropped the ball with this feature. It never seems to work.

Thanks. That’s unfortunate and what I was afraid you all would say.

unfortunately I do not have any unallocated dash toggles

my routine in the morning has been to back out. Close the camera. Go to the car menu. Navigate to home link. Then send the signal to the garage door. Oh. And if I don’t throw the car in neutral when I do this and then put back in reverse the backup camera does not come back up.

back to the clicker on the visor.

I don't have ANY issues with my homelink. It pops up on my screen when nearing my house; or I override it by pressing the programmable joker key. It always works.

My car is a MY20 S as well and I have the wheel diamond programmed to homelink. Sorry, can't recall how I did it now but it wasn't hard. One point though, with it programmed you still need to close the camera (small 'X' on the screen) before pressing the button. The reverse camera/surround view takes control of the PCM screen.

It should come up as an option when in the PCM for the steering wheel button. I have it and it works.

Maybe I need a software update then because I went the the options which can be assigned to the diamond button and it’s definitely not there. I’m ok closing the camera to use it it’s just the number of screen taps right now makes it aggravating

i programmed my steering wheel button today for homelink. I held the diamond button on the steering wheel for 3 seconds then a list of programmable options were listed on the PCM screen. I didn’t see Homelink on the screen but I scrolled down and it was on the next page, last option. Hope it’s there for you. Good luck.

I checked today and setting the Home Screen (Not Home Link) to the Button on the Steering Wheel is not an option on the list my car displays to choose from. It IS an option for the Dash Button and that’s the selection I made.

carcam i owe you a beer. Thank you.

little embarrassed to admit this after 30 years in tech but it was right there when I scrolled this morning.

now I swear I tried to scroll previously. But nonetheless. I have homelink on the diamond button on the wheel! Thanks again
