Window Issue
I have been watching my right window for a small problem. It seems to drop by itself, not far, but looks like it doesn’t come back up from when the door is opened. However, when I test that theory it works as expected. I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue? Software bug?

Try this:
This ballet is done so that the window glass will form a water and wind tight seal to the rubber that is attached to the body of the car when the door is closed and the window is rolled all the way up. But in order for us to be able to open the door when the window rolled all the way up, the logic of the door window circuit must retract the window ever so slightly so that it will not prevent us from opening the door with the glass wedged into it's seal.
.
- Lock the car with the windows rolled all the way up.
- Stand outside of the car.
- Using your key fob unlock the doors. Watch the rear top corner of the door glass at the same time as you press the unlock button on the key fob.
- You should see the door glass drop. It'll only drop about 1/8" so you really have to be watching it closely.
- Now open the door.
- Now close the door. As the door latch catches you'll see the door glass rise up just a bit. You should see it rise about 1/8" ( in the opposite direction to when you unlocked the door).

Yep, thanks for that. I understand the “why”. The issue is that it’s dropping over time. I’m going to play with it today and see if I can find exactly when it’s not going back up, or dropping. Last week when I washed it, it was down half an inch. Yesterday when I washed it, it was down about a quarter inch. I guess the bottom line is that I need to take it to the dealer, but I should be able to explain exactly what is happening. As I am thinking about it, it may be a sensor not always detecting the window’s position.
If it's inconsistent like that I'd definitely be having it looked at. I'm sure you know that most cars need their window auto up/down reset after a battery replacement but this sounds different. Maybe take a couple of photos to show the dealer if it's not easily repeated?
