I love the way the 992 in GT Silver looks without the glass sunroof.
Do any of you miss it when sitting inside as it really opens up the cabin? What were your reasons for not selecting the option?
Personally I just do not use them and after time they all seem to squeak/rattle a bit. I think the car looks cleaner without it and am glad Porsche does not "force" it on us as Mercedes does, could not buy my wife's car without a sunroof of some sort. Hey if you like one get it, if you don't its nice to not "have" to get it.

yes, would have definitely ordered the Cab if it was a HTC.
Have to say this mimics a hard top inside...and is pretty quiet...plus fully automated stow and go. I also like having it made of a different material to break things up.
PS, from TopGear: The polymer fabric sandwiches four magnesium panels, so it’s actually a sort of lightweight folding hard-top without the panels gaps. Good for security, refinement, and for avoiding the ribbed ‘hungry horse’ look of a saggy soft-top. That classic 911 teardrop shape stays just about intact.

I think some people feel pressure to get a sunroof on their build. Some SAs like to tell clients that these are mandatory or the car is unsellable. Lies.

I don't listen to the SAs when it comes to aesthetics.
I'm torn knowing that I will rarely ever open the sunroof despite living in South Florida where there is an abundance of sunshine year round. However, I do like how that sunlight brightens up the interior and creates a panoramic view. I also think the dark sunroof looks better and blends almost seamlessly with darker exterior colors. On lighter colors like white, silvers, etc. it is more noticeable.
I'm leaning GT Silver or CWM so the sunroof question becomes more difficult.

To each his own, but I actually like the contrast of the dark glass sunroof with the lighter colors. Previous 911 was a CWM Turbo S with glass sunroof and gloss black trim package. Looked good to me, and I agree that the sunroof really opens up the interior - even if you rarely have it open.
Overdraft - looks great so far. Did you go with black or silver Targa bar? I agonized over that one and finally settled on the silver. What's your interior? Great to see some more Targas hitting the US (finally).

Thank you - wanted a ‘bright’ themed car....Dolomite I find has a nice crystal look to it in the sun...so it’s a silver bar - blue top - blue leather (to enhance the blue hue of Dolomite) 930 package, chalk stitching- aluminum trim package and aluminum seat backs. Got Burmeister sound package for the beautiful aluminum door grills alone...and sound too of course. My wife will be the primary driver of the Targa and the car was to be a polar opposite of my GT3 Touring with the CF buckets that I drive. Many of us complain about how they package/ price the options on these cars....but they do offer tremendous opportunity to build one precisely how WE envisage our cars. I won’t derail this thread about how much our vision tends to add up....😳
