PPF on headlight lens

The headlight has an UV coating layer on the lens from 991-on. My logic is this, the coating can be refinished by a good shop that knows what needs to be done, but if the lens is chipped then it's done, and it will happen just a matter of time. I much prefer taking the chance of coating coming off by PPF if happens than a chipped lens.

I have my headlights PPF'd with a tint. If your installer is reputable, they should have the experience to install and carefully remove in the future. (Ie: heating the film or using a steamer to soften the PPF prior to removal).
