my dealership is happy to install aftermarket lowering springs. those of you that are having trouble with installs, have you tried asking your dealership's service dept?
there's no reason a 992 shouldn't be able to be lowered without codes.
Based on this video I found on Youtube the KW HAS springs certainty look just like the Techart HAS in the pics posted above. Aside from the colors obviously. Anyone speak Thai??
the only contradiction is that KW does not work with cars that have OE Lift. I called this week to ask.
according to Techart, theirs will.
Very interesting, as I was looking at KW H.A.S. for my 991.2 with OE front axle lift. There seems to be conflicting info, and I prefer the lack of wild colors on the TechArt parts…
But the straight-rate springs are the real motivator here. Having done progressive lowering springs in my 991.2, I am looking to replace them—but just can't bring myself to go back to the stock SUV height.
You can Choose to lower 15 to 40 mm..I chose 20mm.
I don’t remember exactly what pricing was….$ 1500 US or so?…or in that order…. and I was charged 6 hrs or so for install including alignment from my (excellent) dealer. Transformed the car ….although I am happy it was ordered with FAL.
Getting the Techarts installed on my ‘21 4S. I’ll report back.
Springs are on. So far no fault codes. Car is still at the dealership and I’ll pick it
up Monday. Have to order spacers still. Tech commented that ride felt very similar to stock,
maybe a tiny bit stiffer. @21mm front and 15mm rear drop. Car does have front lift.
Happy to report that the springs have worked flawlessly on the car.
Ride is great, no harshness/noises or error lights.
long story short, I decided to trade the car back and the dealer agreed to remove the
springs as part of the deal. I’ll be posting them for sale. They have about 125 miles on them.
