According to the course tracker on TYD, our ship deviated from it’s planned course, headed out to sea, then doubled back, heading southeast. Weather? Mechanical problems? Pirates? Porsche is recalling the vehicles? It certainly couldn’t be some glitch in TYD.
I think it is just hanging around outside Monterey right now drawing circles at 1 or 2 knots because it is waiting for a berth at Benicia (it's a small port in comparison to San Diego, etc...).
The ship has docked, our cars cruise is over. Soon they will be on dry land, never to return to the ocean again. Like salmon heading to their spawning grounds. I well up thinking about it.

I spoke yesterday with my SA. He says now that the ship has ported, they could receive the car in SLC the next day or in weeks, they never know until it shows up. Have any of you gotten the call yet?

My SA says their experience is that it takes 2 or 3 days for them to complete port processing for most cars if there are no port installed accessories, additional customs checks, or repairs from shipping damage needed.
The port folks doesnt really work weekends though, so it will be Thursday at the earliest before the car is shipped out. My dealership is an hour away from the port, so theyll receive it the same day and can begin PDI then.
SA just updated me that my car has been released for transport (i.e. Monroney sticker has been printed) and is currently waiting for a truck. What about everyone else's status?
In a competition between everyone’s SA, mine would likely come in last. He’s still doing Sergeant Schultz. No updates, knows nothing, nobody knows anything until the car arrives.
