Unhappy Aero kit hold by Porsche??

Just found out Porsche stopping production of aero kit optioned 992 until at least May because of “problems” with the build. Any body know about this or have issues with your wing if you already have it?

It's a COVID-related supply chain issue. It's not an issue with the wing itself.

looks great— that’s why it’s on my build which was to be finalized in the next few days. I’ll have to wait for it...

How were you notified that there was a delay - and that it was due to the wing?

Did that come through TYD or from Porsche directly? Or from your dealer?

They could make a smaller 'wing' for cabs. Like the old whale tale. Or a duck. Not sure why not.

So everyone is pushed back to May....Shortages/Covid delay it further.....gets pushed back to July....Good news, Porsche is going to update to 2022 model year with no price changes.....Wait for it......EPA/CARB....aaaargh.

I wanted to leverage the Techart spoiler to get that look, but they insist you can't install without the full wing attached. Otherwise it's effectively that design...with a split in the center.

I really like the rear spoiler on the new turbo. Hopefully an aftermarket will become available in that design.

It is strange COVID delays would affect the wing only. I was really on the fence about the aerokit but am so happy i went with it.
