Default Interior Alarm Sensitivity

Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the sensitivity of the factory interior alarm? I get several false positives per week and it is getting annoying. I have turned it off several times but it just seems to reset itself.

Are things moving in your car when the interior alarm goes off? I've not had a single alarm occurrence during my 5 months of ownership, so if your car is empty when it's going off then there may be a problem with the alarm or its sensors.

I wished there was a way to turn that off altogether. One thing I hated about my 991.2 is that I could never go anywhere if I had to leave the dog inside the car even for 5 sec. the moment I locked the car and walked 5 ft it was already alarming. Great as a theft deterrent, but terrible if you are just going inside the con comience store to get a bottle of water and you Shih Tzu decides he is no playing possum!

Believe there’s a simple way to lock the car and arm the doors without the interior movement sensor set. Can’t recall how but I recall seeing it somewhere in the manual.

Lock if persons/animals are remaining in vehicle

Switch off SAFELOCK and the alarm system’s interior surveillance.

With driver's key:

Press the LOCK button on the driver's key twice (within approx. 2 seconds).

With Comfort Access:

Press proximity sensor A on the door handle twice (within approx. 2 seconds).

The hazard warning lights flash slowly once.

The door handles retract.

The doors are locked and can be opened from the inside by pulling the door opener.

I have a similar issue. But I think its something with the security sensors. After the alarm goes off and you have deactivated it by unlocking and locking the car from the fob, Check your car control in My Porsche or in the connect app. Mine shows something is open. Sometimes a window but mostly the cab roof. Dealer couldn't figure anything out this morning, but cleared the codes. Scheduled again for next Monday. It's driving me crazy. I am trying to figure out which sensors may be obstructed by my recent PPF of the front of the car. No joy. Dealer says the roof sensor is in the locking mechanism so it cannot be any PPF obstruction. Interestingly I also always get this message when getting into the car irrespective of whether the cab roof is up or down.

My interior alarm motion sensor now goes off every time I lock the car. I've had my 2020 992 coupe for almost 2 years now, never had this happen, but now within a minute after parking the car in my garage the alarm goes off. it's occurred 4 times since yesterday. The app shows this in History: The alarm system of your vehicle reports a movement in the passenger compartment.

I know I can temporarily disable the alarm's motion sensor by double pressing the remote's lock button, but I want to avoid having to do that every time from now on. If no one has any ideas here, then fortunately I already have a yearly service scheduled for later this month so I can report it then.
