Cool Letter from PCNA

Received this Email today confirming the PSMP +2

Dear Mr. E

According to our records you were recently affected by a delay in the delivery of your new 911 Carrera S. This postponement was a necessary step in the orderly completion of the certification process for this new vehicle.

We very much regret that you have not been able to enjoy your new Porsche as soon as you hoped. As a symbol of our sincere appreciation for your continued patience and understanding, we are pleased to inform you that we will apply an additional two years of our Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan to your vehicle.

In addition to the first year, which is already included with your new Porsche 911 Carrera S, this plan covers your second and third regularly scheduled maintenance visits, as specified in your vehicle’s published maintenance booklet. Please consult that booklet for a complete list of operations performed and required service intervals for your specific vehicle.

Should you desire an alternative to this offer, we ask that you speak with your dealership to discuss possible options.

We thank you for your loyalty to the Porsche brand and sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Porsche Cars North America, Inc.

Yep, got mine today also. Would have been nice to hear from them in the middle of the certification process but I’ll take the free maintenance.

That seems like a reasonable offer. Canadians don't get the first service for free, and a 3-year prepaid plan costs about $2500 for a 992.

Interesting, I got the same letter with additional one year of maintenance. My car waited 6 weeks.

Good for you guys! I waited about 4 months for mine last year (ordered in Sep '19, arrived in Jan '20 - sat waiting for CARB approval for about 2 months!) no compensation offered or granted.

What’re the odds these boards had something to do with the offer? I know PCNA watches this closely ... power to the people!

According to the letter from my dealer if you were held up more than 30 days from your original estimated delivery date, you get 1 year of free maintenance. If you were held up more than 60 days, you get 2 years. Most of us who ordered in May June time frame got the 2 year deal.
