On paper my Panamera 4S is faster, but the Audi S6 (4.0TT) I had before felt faster and would probably be faster in a stoplight 0-40mph scenario.
this is exactly right. My Audi s8 feels absolutely brutally fast off the line. Had a Panamera 4s dealer loaner that felt pathetically anemic by comparison.

Car and driver always seems to be 0.2-0.3 sec faster than anyone else. I like to watch carwow on YouTube. Real world side by side comparison from stand still and at speed.

The 911 was built for longer road races like Le Mans and not for drag racing, so I guess that’s why it’s not as quick off of he line, although launch control effectively changed all of that

Agreed, his repeated launch of the banana yellow 4S at 3sec was impressive.

Anyone that only cares about stoplight nonsense has a wide variety of wonderful Audi vehicles to choose from.

If you're buying a 911 for it's 0-60 times you're buying the wrong car.

I couldn’t agree more. But I also don’t think anyone here suggested that 0-60 time was why they bought this car. Far from it.

Nevertheless, the 992 S getting 2.9-low 3s 0-60 time off launch Control is still an excellent metric of how fast the car accelerates and just another feather in the cap of this car, IMO

The 0-60:time is not the only reason I bought it, but it’s certainly one of the reasons.
