Default Side skirts?

I enjoy looking at all the 992's posted on the forums. I have noticed a lot of the members here decided not to get the side skirts. Curious why a lot of members passed on this option. Thanks.

1) Skirts really match up best with SD bumper. The SD bumper flows with the skirts

2) Rocker panels get get a lot of damage from debris. Some say to use PPF, but I'd rather avoid the headache and expense of having to do that.

3) My car is black and the stock black rocker panels work

4) Skirts can make the car look a little heavy. Stock is a clean, purposeful look.

The DB carbon skirts look really nice. We will have a lot of options as time goes on and I choose to spend money on items I could not change after the order such as Chalk and Sport Tex.

They really help mitigate the amount of debris kicked back at the rear quarter panels.

Its a very subjective option. I ordered my 992 with skirts but without the aero kit. To me, it makes the car look lower to the ground.

Agreed. I have a targa on order with side skirts for that reason too - just a visual impression that it’s lower than it really is.
