Default Red Tachometer and SC Dials..

Does anyone have their car specified with the Guards Red Tachometer and SC dials especially in a black leather interior? Any good pictures?

In some online reviews (the Harry's Garage Turbo-S review for example) it looks more a washed-out shade of reddish-pink and not the deep vibrant red it looks like in the configurator. Is that the case?

Guard's red on both, also with guard's red belts, + full black leather with sport tex. Great-looking interior combo.

That is exactly the interior configuration I have on order below. My order freezes in two days and was having last-minute doubts I would be driving behind pinky-red dials. White would have been the safe choice but a bit bland. The red in the configurator really pops against black.

Gotta relax. When my order is frozen I don't have to worry about changing things!

I really love the "triple combo" (seat belts, tach, SC clock).

I have red dials and belts on my order. My SY 997 had yellow belts abs dials and looked great.

I did not care for the red on the actual dial, but would rather have it on the ring surrounding. I have been toying the idea of happing it wrapped to see how it would look.

It looks very nice and pops when looking at the interior as a whole, but personally I’d find it a bit much ‘full frontal’ whilst daily driving - the fact that OP raises the question suggests he has doubts ....go with your gut !

Other thing to remember is that at night when the lights are on, the tach shows as a much more subtle red than the daytime bright "guards red"

This is the way I feel.... but to each their own of course.

Currently I'm only spec'ed with Red Sport Chrono and Belts... While I think the tach looks great in chalk/grey... I always associate red on a tach with RPM red line... and don't think I want that in my face all the time.
If you want to see what driving would be like with a black tach and red chrono, take a look at this:

I have the guards red tachometer on my order as well. The other day I test drove a car with the white/chalk tach and sport chrono clock and it looked amazing. Reminded me of a high end watch face. I am planning on changing my order to white on the tach only.

OP here. Great feedback - thanks, guys! On the question of a white dial/tachometer here is what it actually looks like on a C4S I test drove. I was surprised that the white was almost bluish in some lighting and it is white numbers not black.
