I was thinking the same......red/white/blue are pretty common colours for flags around the world. Now if you'd added stars to the rear spoiler and bars to the sides than you could really be accused of a US 'thing' . But if you ever get the chance do spend a July 4th in the US some time, party central and the fireworks are amazing. At least around here.
