When the 992 came out last year, I saw several nicely spec'd cars in lizard green. Even earlier this year, you could find one or 2 on the market at any given time. I know Porsche discontinued that color pretty early in the 2020 model year, but I haven't seen a lizard for sale on the used market in a while. Any idea how many came to the US market in this color in the first place?
On a side note, I know COVID reduced production/distribution capacity, but it seems like there aren't that many 992s for sale in general. As a result, It looks like prices for used 992s are hovering pretty close to MSRP (yet the cars seem to sit at the dealer for months with no price reductions to more realistic levels.

Yes, supply isn’t meeting demand right now. Hence, discounts on new cars are much smaller and the used cars are commanding high prices.

I don’t think lizard was a popular colour. There’s one that’s been sitting at my dealer unsold for close to a year now.

I wonder how many lizard green 992’s were built before it was discontinued? Lizard & Miami might end up being sought after down the road...

Both are extremely rare in my opinion. Especially base Carreras - I think I've only ever seen one or two base models for sale in each of these colors. I guess the market just prefers bold colors on the GT cars, not on the standard models.
