Default Thoughts on my build please

First 911. At the top of my budget. Will be a DD.

Beautiful build
Couple of thoughts and my opinion only

Side decals really distract from what is a really classy build especially since you are going for a more stealthy logo at the back
Consider the 4 way sports seat plus unless you are a larger person they are more comfortable and offer a sportier drive - try them - personal preference
Another feature which is personal preference is the GT steering wheel which I prefer but some prefer a thinner wheel
ALK in the previous year was really average and the ACC alone would be good for most people

Leather is nice but standard is more than adequate although many wil ltell you to go leather

Nice build! The only thing I'd change is the seats.. 14-way w/memory vs 4-way. I have the same exterior color as you, but I went with the Mojave Beige instead.

Thanks! Keep the opinions coming. I am 6'2 so maybe stick with the standard seats? Again, I am at the top end of my (wife set) budget so in order to add, I kind of need to delete. Thinking about deleting side decals, red instruments and ALK adding back about 2k into the budget.

Illuminated door sills or the sound dampering glass are on my list. Or, leather interior with chalk stitching?!

This is fun, but man oh man, 94 days of bouncing ideas around until lock-in will keep me busy!

Thanks again, seems like deleting side decals is favored.

When it comes to seats the SSP does not depend on your height but your girth. The bolsters in someone that is large girthed can feel tight. if you are a lanky 6.2 you will definitely benefit from SSP as it will keep you in place as you corner a lot better. Someone mentoned the memory seats. Personally I think if you are the only driver then memory is a waste. If you share driving with a spouse or child then yes it cant help.

I agree with everything you are deleting but would use the extra money for either leather or towards winter wheels. Presumably you went with the 4S over the S due to weather issues and snow/cold and if so you will want to budget for a DD in the snow/cold/icy for a winter wheel set which for 19/20's will set you back 4K.

Also over 90 days don't overthink or drive yourself crazy. Although I changed my build 10 times my final build, which I resubmitted 2 hours before lock in, was amazingly close to my initial build - sometimes gut feelings are the best measure

Get the illuminated sills. You can't add them afterwards. I regret not getting them.

I don't think the decals are working either.

You will love the Gentian blue, it’s amazing!

I personally love seeing the “PORSCHE” logo in the black in chrome. The black “delete” just doesn’t look as classy to me.

I would also pass on the red sports chrono...I just don’t think they really add much and it’s quite pricey.

I also don’t think the red decals will look good. You can always add those later for much cheaper, too.

As for me, I’m really glad mine has the 18-ways. They are super comfy and have 3 memory banks. I use 2 banks personally, 1 for comfort and another for “race” positions, and the last is for my wife whenever she has to drive it.

You’re gonna love it though!

Just remember that the 4 ways and 18 ways allow you to get the same seating position. The only difference is that the 4 ways selections are not as motorized. I think the only thing that 18 ways offers that 4 ways does not is adjustable lumbar support.

My 2 cents . . . .

Drop the: 911 Carrera 4S" Logo on Doors in Red ($310), Ino-Drive/Active Lane Keep (ALK) ($3,020), Sport Chrono Stopwatch Dial in Guards Red ($420), “Sport Package” ($5350) = $9,100 savings.

Add back in: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) ($2,000), Sport Chrono Package ($2,790), Sport Exhaust System incl. Tailpipes in Silver” ($2,950) = $7,740 additional cost

What you’re avoiding: The 10mm lower and much rougher suspension, The ALK which doesn’t really work IMHO. (Compare to a Tesla, it’s not even close. Seriously, test drive these options before you check the boxes.) The Door decals (ugh), if you must, they can always be added later.

Difference = $1,360 to be spent elsewhere: 18 Way Seats, Leather Interior, etc.

If you’re blacking out the rear logos you might consider the black Tail Pipes as well, just for the consistency of the stealth logic. I don’t think there is a cost difference.

if the car is done to a budget......

I would dump the Adaptive cruise control unless you are dead set on it (don’t know how useful it is for your daily drive).

Add in 14 or 18 way seats. If the car is shared it will make you boil every time you have to move it back or forward manually.

The outside decals.... personally you don’t need to advertise how cool you are, because you know you are super cool ;-)

wish we had the packages in the uk like you have, all single options that add up to a bit more than the package.

Ok, thanks everyone.
Delete door logo
Delete back logos gloss black
Delete Chrono color
Delete LKA

Added leather interior with chalk stitching. Need to trim a little more, just don't want to cut into the meat.
Still open to suggestions!

Good notes above. I personally really like the black Porsche / model on the rear but know it’s not for everyone.

I agree with the comments about eliminating the decals, color gauges, lighted door sills, and the like. You'll never miss them, and they add no value.
If you are going to drive the car in snow, the 4S is the car to get, but if you have another car for bad weather, there is no advantage to the 4, and plenty of cost. In fact, many reviewers have said that the lighter nose on the 2S makes for a better steering feel, and the lighter weight is a bonus, too. If you can avoid the 4, you'll save a bundle. Consider adding Rear Axle steering. Most people say that it makes a difference, and they like it.

Oh yea, I forgot about them. It's a $160 option to have the Puddle Lights say "P O R S C H E". They can be had on-line from aftermarket folks for $15.00 and the exchange looks pretty simple based on a number of YouTube videos. I bought these on Amazon for $15. I wired them up on my work bench and they look quite good actually.
