Detansinn thanks for the pics! Always amazes me to see the guts of these cars!

While doing the safety recall, my tech ran into something new. Now, we are waiting on a part from Germany. Fortunately, the part should be here by Tuesday. So, no 911 this weekend, but the communication from the service manager has been excellent.

The dealer in my area is quoting a minimum of a week to complete the motor mount campaign. That seems awfully long for it to be out of service. I am not looking forward to that week.

Wondering what the build dates are for people who are having motor mounts replaced?

Looking at the pics from the link, would make me very nervous having my new car disassembled like that...especially if I wasn’t likely to be effected by the cause associated with the gutting. I especially would never be the first person on the block to have my dealership messing with the car in such a major way. Years down the road, sure.

My engine mount replacement (first done by local dealer) was completed in two days. Others have reported similar experience. My build date was early April 2019.

Mine is a late January, 2020 build date and the motor mounts do not need to be replaced.

That’s a probably a safe expectation and you can count yourself as lucky if it’s done earlier than that.

It was designed to come apart and be maintained. I don’t fret it. It’s an opportunity for them to check that everything under there is awesome without you spending a dime.

Mine is a Jan.13 build date and have not received any notice that the campaign applies. I'm trying to get a sense of the date range for mounts that need replacing: so far haven't heard of anyone with a build in 2020 needing new mounts.
