Wow! Beautiful end result! Looks like someone took a dirty buffing wheel to the paint at some point before you first got it. I would NOT, will NOT be a happy camper if mine arrives in that sort of condition. It doesn't have to look as perfect as yours does now, but good grief, it shouldn't look like it's been abused! Might I ask what this paint correction set you back $$$?
obviously great attention to detail, and no doubt, a real professional job with the results to show for it - personally i don't think i'll be in the same camp to have the paint correction or ceramic coating - to me, for my use, it'd be wasted - i'll wash it as needed to keep it dirt and brake dust clean, (can't forget the glass)...but no more than that - great looking results though !!
while i'd agree with you...that is a great result....for me, it'd be too hard to keep it that way
you just put it in a vacuum sealed compartment under a spotlight. because it's a sculpture, apparently, and not something to drive outside (the horror!).
Preach. I had my 992 C4S paint corrected and ceramic coated after delivery and it was totally worth it. One year, 13k miles later, I still get asked if it's "new".

I haven't had my car washed since Covid hit in March. Oddly, it still drives the same and I still love driving it. I must have missed the "need to keep it pristine" memo.
Looks fantastic. How high up did you go with the rocker panel film?
About level with the door handle. A few inches higher than the OEM film.

Granted, my last 992 looked just the same in regards to swirling/scratches on the paint. Not uncommon to say the least.
Keep in mind; most if not all the swirls/scratches on the paint, cannot be seen unless the car is under certain lighting conditions.
The most concerning issue is the clear coat imperfections & exhaust residue. Both were taken care of along with all the light scratches.

I’m the same. I just like to have the car properly corrected so any imperfections henceforth are from my own doing.

This ^^
There is a simple way to maintain the coating, while also making it an easier process.

Kamikaze Miyabi/ISM ceramic + Zipang coating for the entire vehicle, including the wheels.

The finished product looks great! Like you stated, there was alot of attention to detail. However, I am disappointed to see the extent of imperfections!
I had mine paint corrected, PPF’d, and Modesta ceramic applied. My car looks great, but I am most thankful for coating the rims as well. I like a shiny car. Yours really transformed! I don’t recall that mine looked that bad, but I only saw it about a half hour before having the work done.
