Default When will GTS be released

Saw this picture in another thread and surprised to see no GTS yet. Is it at least confirmed for MY21?

I don't necessarily want to order one but it may help push CPO 991.2 GTS or 992 4S prices down. They are usually good package value.

Many threads on this topic. Definitely not MY21. Probably MY22.

Carrera/cabriolet->Targa->Turbo->GT3->GTS

gt3 will be announced by 2020 end as a my2021.

gts will be announced in 2nd half of 2021 as a MY2022.

keep in mind MY2023 will be the 992.2.

So yes, gts is a value package but get obsolete pretty quick.

Been waiting for GTS news and a part of me just died inside. Since it seems that allocations for a C2S are essentially all accounted for, I guess nothing else to do but keep waiting.

This does seem to drive with 991 where they had the regular carrera as MY12 while still producing 997.2 GTS as MY12. 991.1 GTS came out as MY15 so that leaves a gap of 3 years. Last GTS was MY19, so next could be MY22. But only having the GTS .1 for 1 MY? For 991 there were 2 years of .1 and 3 years of .2.

For me the GTS makes it easier to shop CPO as it comes with more essential boxes ticked off the bat. Looking for a 4S optioned like I want is needle in a hay stack.

🧐

I only found four seperate GTS threads in the 992 forum. Yours makes five. I only went to page two of the search results though.

if only it were true. The top 50 searches for GTS in this forums have 2 hits. One about engine speculation and one indirect regarding upgrading to gts/turbo/gt. But my oh my would I have been owned with the force of all those cool characters you took the time to type out.

Me too. Plus I want to pick it up in April (avoid winter for the debut). So that means 2022! At this rate I might just wait for 922.2. If I don't here anything by end of year, I'm tempted to get a C2S with Turbo wheels and call it a day.

You are looking at one year at least until GTS on sale date, seeing the schedule above and extrapolating out

Does anyone really know?

In 2020, the past is not prologue.

It's all speculation. If you're not even getting a 992 GTS, who cares. I wouldn't try to outsmart the market on this one.

Just a couple. Just not that difficult.

Doesn’t really matter how many MYs the gts has. What does matter is that it has one MY or so before the facelift or new generation comes, and it’s no longer a value package.
