992 2S range
My 992 arrives early next week and can’t wait!
Something on my mind is what is the effective range with 75% highway driving and mixed spirited driving for the rest. What is your average total range?
Is it even possible to get the extended range tank afterwards?

You can't add the extended range tank afterwards.
Mileage on these cars varies hugely depending on use; yesterday I got 27mpg (US - 8.5l/100km for everyone else) over 30 miles mainly freeway, average speed 61mph for the complete trip. But then in the afternoon I got less than 13mpg on a short 10 mile trip around home. When I fill it I normally see 340-350 miles as the expected range so say 275-300 in the real world before a fill.

Yes, only if you trade-in your car for another one with the extended range tank (can't be a 4/4S either).
You can get over 400 miles on the standard tank on the highway cruising at speed (like 70+ MPH). Backroad hooliganism? Considerably less. The extended tank is a nice option, but I wouldn’t consider it a must have.

Figure an average of about 23mpg with about 20 city and 29 highway x 16 gallons. Around 370 miles per tank. That’s about what I got in my 991.2 GTS and can’t imagine the 992 C2S being much or any different. I did option the extended range tank on my C2S.

Thanks everyone! This is about what I expected.
My 2019 M5C got around 12mpg at best on canyon carving, but could still eek out over 400 miles on a tank with mostly highway cruising.
The 992 is obviously more efficient but with a smaller tank sounds about reasonable.
A big reason I care about this is my Tesla Model 3 will maybe eek out 210 miles so the 992 will become the highway bullet when needed. It’ll be way more comfortable and more fun to boot
