Default Opened Hood with Wipers "up"

Washed the car today. Was super careful to use the two bucket method, (with grit guards). Dried with fancy waffle weave towels. Wipers were up for me to dry the windshield. Like a dummy I opened the hood without thinking.

Looks like a bent the wiper arm. I have PPF with a little tear, hoping it saved my paint. Thing is I can't find the part for the wiper arm online. Everything links to a 991.

Anyone have a resource with up to date parts for the 992?

I believe this is correct ( for left hand drive car )

item 4 or 5
4 : 992955409 wiper arm driver side ( LHD )
5 : 992955410 wiper arm passenger side ( LHD )

I think you will find if you look carefully at the arms on your car, the part number are on the reverse side ( not glaringly obvious ) I checked mine driver side on and it did for sure ( although mine being RHD are suffixed part numbers with an A after )

this diagram show the usual ( like Germany for example ) LHD configuration

I find things here .... It can be a bit of mind bender to get around the multiple part numbers of the same part ....but one gets used to they way it works after a while . europspares
Although this is a UK site and we use RHD , the lists and the diagrams being for a german car, tend to start with LHD variant ...with suffixed RHD variations where applicable
I saw an American site not long ago with exactly the same tool.....but lost the link

Lol. I did the same exact thing after PPF, and put a minor, minor tear in there. Thankfully didn't bend the wiper blade. Will never make that mistake again. Don't feel bad...

I would totally do that. In fact, despite reading this and posting, I've got even money on me doing it still :-)
