My sales guy says that if I get PEC delivery, my date will be pushed back 1-2 months. Is that accurate? He says it has to go there first, then the PEC. I am not sure why he is telling me this after we placed the order. The PEC has been part of the discussion since the beginning. He is trying to talk me out of it for some reason, but the build already went through..which leads me to another concern...
The other thing scaring the crap out of me is the V100 status (see below) after putting down my deposit with my order yesterday. He said that "it went through" but its just not assigned to me yet. When I asked about the status, he said that any compatability issues would be fixed manually and he would get a call about it from Atlanta on Monday if there were issues. I'm just wondering if I actually got the allocation he said that he could convert. He put in my custom build after the freeze date of 9/23 but told me it could be slipped in yesterday.
Had a PEC-LA delivery set-up for May, but it was cancelled due to CV. They had mentioned it would be delayed a week or two versus dealer delivery due to the schedule @ PEC since they only do two of these a day. How far from Atlanta do you live? That was a concern from the PPF shop, driving hundreds of miles unprotected before they got their hands on it. Something to consider . . .
I’m doing PEC Atlanta with an October 30th build date and I’m confirmed for PEC. Should be there late December, 1-2 week delay from just picking it up from the dealer.

I live 2 hours north of Atlanta l, but, with traffic, it would take 3 to get to the PEC.

I could handle a one to two week delay but 1-2 months seems kind of extreme. So, it does go to the dealer first? I'm two hours from Atl.

No it goes straight from the Jacksonville Port to Atlanta. I’m In Florida. 1-2 months is a bit extreme. If that’s what it was, I would’ve skipped PEC since top down driving is late fall-early spring here.

I had PEC LA delivery. The bad thing was, due to COVID, that PEC has limited staff and if your sales guy doesn’t make an appointment with PEC for your pick-up at a reasonable time, there will be a delay even your car arrives. Overall, my delay was 2 weeks. The good thing was that the experience was well worth it, better than I expected. If you consider the cost of driving lesson, lunch, and the goodies they gave out, they are losing money.

if you bring someone with you, do they let them drive as well?
I am going to reach out to the PEC and see if they will tell me about delays. I don't know what to do about removing it. I would prefer to keep it as part of the experience. It sounds like there really shouldn't be one based on what you guys are saying.. unless COVID has created one.
Did PECLA delivery in February, the last day before they closed briefly due to Covid.
Not sure if PEC’s restaurants are open yet or not, but that is just about the only “freebie” you will get besides a hat and a coffee mug. I’d recommend the experience regardless as the instructors are top notch and it really helps familiarize you with the capabilities of the car. I paid for a separate session for my wife while we were there. I think it was around $575.
