Painted Front Bumper Grille Surround?
Has anyone seen or thought about painting the Front Bumper Grille Surround to be body color on the standard front? Any thoughts?

I actually love that it's so much black plastic in harms way. If it was painted, you'd have to PPF this part or it would just be riddled with rock chips.

The plastic they use on this part is pretty soft. Mine has a few nicks from rocks and road debris. The painted parts of my bumper are PPFd and are pristine ... so debris small enough to mark the plastic bounces off the PPF.
The part is cheap, so easy enough to replace... but does anyone know if the bumper needs to be dropped to replace?
