The 992’s are starting to pour into TAG and we couldn’t be more excited. Before we started on our Techart project we did this simple 992 for the upgrade for a client. First, we started with new wheels. HRE S200H’s in 21 and 22” fitments. Finished in Brush Dark Clear with Polished Clear lips. To match the ride height and handling with the more aggressive wheel fitment we installed KW HAS adjustable springs on all 4 corners.
The final piece was OEM BLACK rear lettering that was passed on when spec-ing out the car, but it was simple to add it on later. Another 992 ready for the streets.

We live in a world where 21/22" fitments are now a thing on these cars and don't look outrageous.

So it looks like you have bumped up the size of both front and rear wheels, increased the width of the tires but decreased the profile. Not an expert at all, but sort of wondering what this accomplishes in terms of handling, pot-holes, ride etc.? Just hoping to learn.

Hi team TagMotorsports,
Firstly can I just say that you’ve done an awesome job on the combo and that car looks amazing!!!! Well done!!!
I am also interested in how the car has changed under this setup. Trying to learn what the boundaries are before it heavily impacts the cars ride quality and handling and if it could comfortable be upped from 20”/21” to 21”/22” with a lowered tire profile. Does further lowering it with H&R springs tip it past that point from a daily drivers perspective?
Minor changes arnt too concerning but I wouldn’t want it to move to far away from a factory feel from what it is now on factory optioned 20”/21” wheels with SPASM equiped.
I’m leaning towards a HRE LW spec 20”/21” wheel on standard spring for daily use. Any feedback from your team or your customers about how it’s changed the feel and drivability per his/her personal use would me much appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙏
See earlier thread with many concerns expressed from other users also.

To assist in the questions above, it will give the car a slightly firmer/ harsher ride but not jarring by any means. So far our client absolutely loves this setup

If you ask for opinions (which you did in the other thread) don't be irritated if people have strong opinions that don't agree with yours. No need to use such low-brow vitriol.

@TAG - did you guys have any CEL errors lowering with these KW springs? Doesn't seem like you lowered too much, just enough to close the gap. Looks great!
There has been so many mixed messages on lowering the 992s - some say you get CEL and errors, some say its fine. Some say its related to RAS equipped cars or PDCC height sensors going out of range. Did this car have PDCC or RAS?

A fairly conservative drop - spot on I think - although I would opt for 20/21 wheels. What is the spring kit drop referencing the SPASM height...and would you know how the ride compares??.. I put some ACS springs on a 440 BMW we had which lowered slightly (just right) and actually improved the ride...which I could never figure out. I would like to do this look on my wife’s car (with the OEM 20/ 21 wheels) but hoping someone would chime in with testimonials. I am deathly afraid of messing up an almost perfect car...if it was lowered 10mm from PASM height.

I like to go for lighter weight all around when buying new wheels. One thing I've always wondered about upsizing your wheels. Typically aftermarket forged wheels are lighter than OEM wheels size to size. So does the stock rubber and OEM wheels weigh more or less than a light weight 21/22 forged wheel with plus sized tires?
I guess what I'm asking here is; are those new wheels and bigger rubber lighter, equal or heavier than the stock setup?

In this particular case, just slightly heavier. This is mostly due to the fact that these are a 3 Pc. wheel. There are however options that can be a bit lighter albeit in a larger size
