Default 21” Front and 22”Rear wheels or 21” Wheels All round?

Hey guys need some advice on aftermarket wheels. I’m just about to put a down payment to complete an order on some wheels.

My C4S arrives at the end of this year equiped with SPASM.

My question is, as a daily driver, would 21” Front and 22”Rear wheels ride quality? or 21” Wheels All round be a better balance?

22" rear? LOL! Im sorry, but that's just silly if you ask me. The 21 looks massive as it is. Of course the plus sizing the rims front and back will hurt comfort. Id get the car and drive it before you buy some wheels man.

Or Id get the same size wheels as stock and just get better offsets.

personally i'd stick with 20/21 setup. rides great as a DD and looks great. porsche knows what they're doing. minimally i'd take delivery, ride 'em, then decide.

These are 21” front and 22” rear.

Why would I consider upping them?

Cause they look badass AF!! That’s why lol

does a more aggressive offset impact steering and handling?

I’ve done a fair bit of driving now on the OEM spec wheels and yes they ride very comfortable. I wonder if they could absorb another inch without Heavily impacting the ride being that standard setup still relatively cushy. I can’t exactly test 21” and 22” setup and return if I don’t like them, waiting for my car to arrive is not going to offer me anymore insights.

Thus why I’m turning to my fellow Rennlistee’s for advice...I know there are a few users on here that also have or have had a 21+22” setup.

More beautiful examples...can’t help but be curious when you see these especially if I’m about to pay huge $$$ on something that can’t be changed or returned

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't do this... just go buy a Subaru WRX or something if you want to rice it out... I think the Porsche engineers know a thing or two about the optimal wheels for this car.

While I respect your opinion, your argument regarding Porsche engineers is invalid. The 992 is offered in both 19/20 staggered and 20/21 staggered. This means there is no one particular wheel setup exclusive to the car. 21/22 can most certainly be done, however there may be sacrifices in comfort (5% less sidewall)

If you were to do a 305/25-22 in the rear the overall diameter is 28", the factory 305/30-21 is 28.2" so they are virtually identical in size. The same would apply to the front.

Because I’ve increase the OEM wheel specs by 1” I should scrap the 911 all together and it’s is now deemed “ricer” and should just go to a wrx? hahaha. That’s a good one 😂 your obviously very clever.

Would there be enough clearance to maintain the side wall?

Front Factory 245/35ZR-20
Rear Factory 305/30ZR-21

Aftermarket Front 245/35ZR-21
Aftermarket Rear 305/30ZR-22

Will it rub?

It was engineered for both of those sets yes... it wasn't engineered for 22's... otherwise it would be listed in the owners manual...

do what you like, it's your car... I probably overstepped on this one since taste is quite subjective.

It’s not just the size though, you’re almost certainly adding unsprung weight.

The 22s look good (dude with the green car). Would look better with the CCB's though to fill out the wheel.
