My car was delivered with the warning triangle, in a plastic bag in the frunk along with the front plate mount. I'm wondering if that's normal in the US or is because the car was originally scheduled for ED?
thanks all. That’s what I was thinking. Now I’m thinking I’ll get the clips EU cars come with and mount it properly....
Mine was a cancelled ED as well and was delivered to me with both the warning triangle and First Aid kit. Normally these things (non US equipment) are removed prior to re-delivery if you don't take them out prior to drop-off in Europe, so somehow we lucked out.
Also if I remember correctly, the actual frunk "liner" on European models is slightly different where the clips are mounted to hold the triangle in place - which is why the triangle & First Aid kit are just "loose" in the frunk at delivery for an ED car.
Interested in doing the same thing, so please post if you find out what all is involved in getting the mounting clips installed.

Also interested in adding mounting clip...and yes I got a "loose" first-aid kit, too.
So with triangle and first-aid kit, along with no-charge all-weather mats, a LiFePO4 battery tender, licence plate frame and and two Porsche coffee mugs, I feel I got a pretty decent selection of "freebies."

Will do. I got the First Aid kit too, but figured that must be standard given our Mercedes has it. My car does have standard trim retaining clips about the place you'd expect the triangle mounts would be, I was thinking these would be just replaced but maybe not. For sure I'll let you know what I find out.
I also found a warning triangle and first aid kit in my 992 because of a canceled ED. I used a pair of hook and loop cinch straps to mount it in the frunk. There are 2 convenient trim fasteners that I used to mount the straps

Reason: Better Photos
No ED and no Warning Triangle. Ordered mine from Suncoast with mount pieces.
For mounts there were two plastic rivets holding the top of the liner which is where the mounting pieces attach. The rivets sort of split to allow them to easily come out, see attached photo. Easy install. top of button pulls out to release installed in 992

Are there pre-drilled holes in the body? Did you need to cut the carpet? What exactly is the installation procedure? Thanks kindly for your help.
