I have been driving my first week in my 992 C4S with SPASM on the pressure that the car came with- which was high full load. It is firm but fun on nice roads --- not so fun on crappy Boston roads. I'm going to switch over to the comfort pressure and see how it goes (did you do this yourself or did you have your dealer do it?). Thanks for bringing it up!
for me i did it myself with a tire pressure gauge then went into the settings and changed it to comfort .. or you will get low tire pressure warning .. took me a week to change mine in the settings after searching here

Okay guys---I could use a bit of help here on my tire pressures. It's so much easier to just go to my dealer - so I went this morning and he set up the car so I can do comfort pressure--but he lowered the pressure just a touch to see how I like it (plus my tires were hot from driving there in 95 degree heat). I went through the manuals and everything says "if you don't have SPASM or a glass sun roof, etc" ..and I have both. Anyway, I am running right now at 37/45 and they aren't bad but after reading all this, I would like to get them lower (especially since I am going to be giving my Mom a ride in the car and I'm sure she would appreciate it!). Does anyone know what suggested comfort pressures would be on my car? I have 20/21 Pirelli's on it now. Thanks!

At the very least. Go 35/38. I’ve found that to be a nice middle ground that still allows you to go 190mph 🤪

Is that cold or hot?
You should set your tire pressures when the tires are cold (i.e., the first thing in the morning after the car has been idle the entire night).
I believe the comfort settings for the 992 is 33/36 psi on a stagger 20/21 and summer tire setup.
Check your driver side door sticker to confirm (or deny )

Did it myself, 5 minutes with a decent tire gauge. I didn't change anything in the PCM, I see some others got a low pressure warning afterwards but I didn't.

Interesting re. the mention of SPASM. I do have that and a metal sunroof so not sure why that is an issue, either way I like how it rides on the lower pressures and will leave it there.
THANK YOU SO MUCH everyone!! So my SA dropped the settings down a bit but the tires were hot and they read 37/45. I will have the pressures lowered down tomorrow morning before I take it out and see what happens. My SA adjusted the pressures to the specs on my door--(picture attached) --and they do feel over inflated and hard. I'm pretty petite so this door setting may be suited for someone much bigger...not sure-- but when I hit some bumpy roads today I was bouncing out of my seat.
First, Thank you in advance for any help and/or legitimate snide comments.
We (I and my better half) are looking at ordering a 2021 CS2.
I do NOT intend on tracking it. Been there, done that when I was much younger. Now I'm older and (in my addled memory) I WAS definitely much faster . . . then. Today I'm seeking to order as comfortable a 992 as can be had. FWIW, A track prepared Z51 Corvette is not particularly useful as a daily driver. This is true no matter how impressive it might be (or seem to be) on the track. LOL
So-o-o-o-o-o-o I'd like to assemble a competent but not abusive relationship with the suspension on a 992 CS2. I've test driven several 2020's with various suspension option packages. That said, it seems the input of "real world" experience would help me decide.
My options (as you probably know) are:
Leave the stock/base PASM suspension alone.
Add the Sport PSM Suspension (lowered 10mm) if it's value does NOT significantly impact (pun intended) the ride.
Add Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and Rear Wheel Steering. This could well be an excellent solution if the PDCC system uses what amounts to smaller (less stiff) sway bar(s) when driven in a straight line. Ex: With no yaw and little to no lateral G force inputs to the system control.
Replace the OEM 20"/21" wheels and tires with identical width but greater sidewall diameters 16", 17", 18" etc. Maybe not as attractive but . . . .
Which or what combination of the above would float your boat?
For those so incredibly bored sitting around with nothing better to do (COVID19) I have two build codes (for the moment) that might be of interest. PMJDQMZ1 & PMZNY8Z7
Thanks for your time and interest!
my car equipped with PASM with PDCC. This combo highly recommended for daily usage and for rare visiting of tracks.
When I was build my wife’s Panamera I have tried Panamera with PDCC as well as non-PDC version and I decide not to offer it. 911 C4S was bought from a lot and it was equipped with PDCC. So it absolutely different car with stock suspension version.
Comfort tire pressure setting in TPMS on my car (C4) with optional 20/21 wheels/tires is 29/32. Maybe it's higher or different for an S or a car with SPASM. Was initially set by dealer at standard 33/39 which made the ride rougher and the tires noisier. On previous 911s I used higher pressures and was sceptical that 29/32 (cold) would give crisp handling as well as a more supple ride: after 6000+ km on the comfort settings I'd only ever use higher pressures for track work.
Guys, THANKS so much for all of your help!! I put the pressures down on my tires and it was a dramatic difference....now I can cruise around in Sports Plus and not fly out of my seat. Thank you again for all of your help ;-)
